The E Model uses a programmable Microprocessor to select the proper solenoids for each gear selected. The microprocessor makes it possible to add custom functions to the unit if a customer request it. All E Units come with a ” lock in Neutral ” function. This means that the unit always powers up in Neutral. To return to normal operation simply set the Gear Selector Switch to the Neutral position. If a Shift to Neutral sensor is activated. The unit will remain in Neutral until the Gear Selector Switch is set to the Neutral position. This unit uses a microprocessor. This means that it is vulnerable to power surges like lightning and welding. Any AC voltage introduced to the battery input can damage the unit.
